The evaluation of protocol performance in network simulation is usually based on statistical averaging. We introduced a visualization approach to replenish statistical analysis with a microscopic understanding of protocol behavior that facilitates protocol improvement. As an example, our visualizer graphically displays ns-2 trace files for the data dissemination protocol EMDV. On this site we provide introducing flash-animated samples of the visualizer.
