Through my studies in Computer Science (Bachelor's from 2018–2022 and Master's from 2022–2024) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), I was able to dive deeply into various areas of computer science and further develop my interest in distributed systems and IT security.
Since February 2025, I have been conducting research at DSN on Replicated State Machines (RSMs) and their application in the integration of (time-)critical infrastructures. A particular focus is on Ethereum, where I see promising approaches for the efficient management of, for example, energy grids. A major challenge here is the issue of censorship, which, in my view, currently poses a significant threat, particularly through state-level attackers – non-financially motivated actors.
Together with my colleagues, I am developing solutions to make these protocols more resistant to censorship, thereby increasing their reliability.
